Surprise!

We just had our 2nd OB appt today and our doctor told us, that based on the measurements taken at yesterday's ultrasound, she is going to move our due date UP! She moved it from after Christmas (Dec. 29) to December 19!!! We are officially having a 2009 baby! She doesn't like to let women go more than a week beyond their EDD, which means that at the latest, Ralph will be here by Dec. 26!

We also got to hear little Ralph's heartbeat again -- high 150s today. He/she was being difficult though (no surprise, right?) and made it hard for the doctor to find. Being difficult seems to be a growing trend with our little one. lol

Great appt! I am always high on life after our appts! It's so neat to hear about our baby's growth and hear the heartbeat and such. Dr. Lohr says I'm still healthy as a horse; I've even lost a pound since the last appt. She asked if I was eating and I almost laughed. lol However, since I gained 10lbs in the first 8 1/2 weeks, I was kind of relieved to hear that I hadn't put on another 5. Maybe this weight thing will even itself out after all. Our next appt is on July 17. We'll have some bloodwork done and she will get us set up to have our BIG ultrasound done! So I'm willing to bet that by the end of July, we will know whether we are having a little bundle of blue or a little bundle of pink!
